I want to share a story about Ronald Keith Davis, a 37-year-old police officer from Pennsylvania. It’s an incident that left me deeply concerned. You see, Ronald, who is a husband and a father, took his girlfriend to a mental health facility against her wishes.

What’s troubling is that he didn’t just escort her there calmly. Instead, he used a forceful “wrestling-style hold” on her before eventually having her arrested. There’s a video of this incident that someone recorded, and in it, you can hear the woman pleading, “I can’t breathe,” but he didn’t let go.

The consequences of Ronald’s actions were serious. On September 21, he was arrested and now faces charges of felony strangulation, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, and recklessly endangering another person’s life. It’s a reminder that we should always treat each other with kindness and respect, especially when someone is going through a difficult time.
