We often hear about families with single mothers who are raising children but it sometimes can also be single fathers. That is what one man had in Paraguay, and he raised two girls.
The life of Pablo Acuña was more than just a father, he had actually been born without fully functioning arms and legs. It was a birth defect in which his extremities did not develop properly.
As a result, his mother had to care for him and she is now over 90 years old. Despite her advanced age, she still continues to care for him and provide all the love she can.
In order to get around, Pablo uses a wheelbarrow. His daughter claims that he even sleeps in it and practically lives in it. She calls it his legs.
Even though it was a struggle to live without arms and legs, he did what he could to live a normal life. Through adversity, he was even able to have two daughters but his life wasn’t everything that it could be.
When the youngest daughter was only four months old, the mother packed up and left. He continued to raise them on his own with his mother’s help, and his daughters are now 26 and 29.
Even though the father struggled as a result of his physical limitations, he provided all of the dedication and affection he could give. He is a wonderful example of a loving single father.
His one daughter decided she would live in another country but continues to stay in Paraguay to help take care of him. She said that her father is her world and friend, along with her confidant. She calls him the best dad in the world.
There are struggles taking care of her father because of the difficulties he faces. He isn’t able to move on his own and he has to have someone else take him to the bathroom.
His daughter is willing to make the sacrifice to take care of her father. She always tries to give him what he likes if she can.
Undoubtedly, Pablo has a fighting spirit and he has faced much adversity in life. It has served him well and he raised two beautiful girls as a result of his dedication.
