Which fact shocked you the most?
Last month I was very surprised by the mother of 4 children who came to give birth where I work.
What surprised me was that during the pregnancy of her 5th child, she never had her womb checked. I was surprised because the mother’s many experiences (looking at her pregnancy history) did not make her aware of the importance of pregnancy checks.
Baby born with congenital abnormalities ( gastroschisis )
This photo was taken immediately after the baby was born before we referred him to the hospital. Sad, seeing it breaks my heart.
According to information from the hospital, the baby could not be helped and eventually died. In the last 3 months, I have seen several cases of abnormalities in newborn babies that resulted in death. Previously, I assisted with the birth process when the baby was born with CHD (Congenital Heart Disease).
For pregnant women, don’t forget to check your womb regularly! At least 6x during pregnancy, 2x in the 1st trimester, 1x in the 2nd trimester, and 3x in the 3rd trimester so that early detection can be carried out to prevent potential complications. If you feel something is strange or disturbing, please immediately consult a health worker.
