They are having a new baby, going on vacation and expect you to take two weeks off work to babysit your sister? When you say they want you to come home for 2 weeks, my interpretation is that you no longer live with your parents.
Do they understand yiu will be forfeiting two weeks of pay, possibly lose your job and be unable to cover your bills / expenses.
If you parents can afford to take a holiday, take 2 weeks off work – at least your father must still be working – when they have a new baby ready to be born, they can afford to hire a sitter for your younger sister.
NO ITS NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Your responsibility is to yiur employer who pats yiu a salary, enabling you to pay your bills.. even if they offered to compensate your salary with payment in advance, what happens if yiu lose yiur job. Who is going to pay your rent, utilities, Auto expenses.. and if yiu livecwith a friend, what about yiur obligations to ant room mate,
