I myself felt pressured and took a plea bargain on a crime I didn’t commit, I understand how mentally challenging the court process can be and how low you are made to feel by the criminal justice system.

It has ruined my life and makes many things extremely difficult, however I have no evidence to prove my case and I have already ‘served my time’ meaning I can no longer get my early 20s back.

If it is not something you can prove I would suggest leaving it, there are many people in your boat who have been let down by the ‘guilty until proven innocent’ system and there are fundamental issues that need adjusting with the outdated justice system for it to continue effectively.

However if you are prepared to spend money and a lot of time (is this a mere extension of a sentence?) and have proof of course find a way of clearing his name, I feel for you and your situation and hope it is resolved soon.
