Can a cop put his foot in your door?

No, thay absolutely cannot. I refer to the case Coffin v. Brandau where a police officer placed their foot inside a citizen’s garage door as it was being closed. The officer’s foot broke the threshold, and intersected the garage door’s laser sensor causing the door to automatically go back up (this serves as proof that the cop broke the threshold). The court held that this was a violation of the 4th amendment, and that without a warrant, the police CANNOT enter the threshold of your home. It foes even further though as numerous courts have also upheld that the police cannot enter the curtilage (area immediately surrounding home) either!
