Can a Landlord Charge for Broken Appliances? The Ultimate Guide to Tenant Rights
Can landlords charge tenants for replacing appliances that were damaged by the tenant?

Yes I evicted one tenant and won in court because I replaced stove because the door broke a month after they moved in. I rented house to a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers but when I went into house to pull old stove out and install new stove there was one room I walked by with 3 bunk beds in it. So I gave them a 24 hour notice of inspection at 6 pm and there were 9 kids in house. Than less than 1 month complaint sent about stove broke and fridge wasn’t keeping stuff cold and toilet keep over flowing. No lease was signed it was month to month so I gave them a 30 day eviction. Fridge was missing seal and it wasn’t the one that I put in unit so they got charged for that and the new stove I put in was some rusted one so they got that charge and toilet was full of diapers so I added plumbing fee on. Found out they had a history of evictions in different last names. Can a Landlord Make a Tenant Pay for Repairs?
