R&B singer Al B. Sure, who was once told by the doctor that he only had a few months to live, has been able to completely bounce back after beating his life-threatening illness.

Last year, the 53-year old singer shared about his condition on Instagram. He revealed he was diagnosed with a gallbladder issue, a blockage, and toxic internal problems. In 2017, he weighed over 300 pounds that he had to undergo weight loss surgery.

Now reportedly weighing 195 pounds, he is thankful as he started to fully recover from the illness and become healthier.

“Ok, this is the final segment of my #medicaljourney (I hope and pray). Thank you for the love light and prayers to get me through 2020. I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know,” Al B. Sure posted on his Instagram along with a video update on his health.

“Thank you Dr. Rosenberg for allowing me a few more years here with my loved ones. Hearing that I only have 4 to 6 months left if I didn’t fix me was eye-opening and mind-boggling.”
