I would do exactly what my last landlord did. At the time I was month to month. Essentially, I got a letter in the mail that stated on Jan 1 2021 my rent was going up $50. I received this notification roughly Oct 30th. Giving me a little over 60 days notice. In this letter it also stated if I do not agree to the rent increase to let him know by December 1st as I would be required to vacate the property.
