My realtor is telling me I need to sign a rejection form on a purchase offer we missed the deadline for, but I never entered into any kind of agreement with that buyer. Does that seem fishy?

ALL written offers are supposed to be accepted, rejected, or countered by the deadline. What Happens When A Real Estate Purchase Agreement Expires?

Once the expiration date has passed, the offer is technically no longer valid.

But it’s good practice to ALWAYS reject an offer you don’t intend to accept, regardless of whether the deadline has passed. It eliminates any question about the status of the offer or the Seller’s intention.
