The Right Place Values YOU the Right Way

Here is a story that had been circulating, in one format or another. It is a lesson on value. If you never grasp anything else, take a few moments to let these words sink into your psyche. Let them marinate into your consciousness. The story starts…a young lady graduated with honors. Her father, excited over her accomplishment, gave her a car he purchased many years ago. It was incredibly old. He suggested that she take it a used car dealer and let them know you want to sell it and see how much they offer you.

You Are Worth More Than You Contemplate

The daughter met with the used car dealer, and he offered her $1,000. She returned to her father and announced, “They offered me $1,000 because it very dilapidated.” The father replied, “Take it to the pawn shop.”
The daughter went to the pawn shop, returned to her father and said, “The pawn shop suggested $100 because it is a very ancient car.”
The father beckoned his daughter to go to the auto club and show them the car. The daughter took the car to the club, returned and said to her father,” these people at the club offered $100,000 for it since it’s a Nissan Skyline R34, a classical car and sought after by many.”

Never Stay in a Place Where You Are Not Deemed Worthy

The father’s final message to his daughter was, ,”The right place values you the right way,” If you are not valued, do not be angry, it means you are in the wrong place. In essence, those who know your value are those who appreciate what you bring to the table. If you are not valued where you are, move on. Never stay in a place where you are not respected.

Words to Live By:
Those who know your worth are those who appreciate you.
