We lived on a cul-de-sac. the neighbour across the street had a daughter who had hit the “I’m so hot and you’re beneath me” stage in teenhood. She kept parking in front of our house with her bumper protruding out into our driveway. Almost hit it a couple of times. Tried talking to her parents, but no change in her behaviour.

I caught her one day walking away from her vehicle. I told her to move it or I was calling the bylaw people and she’d get ticketed. She told me to “F” off.

Called bylaw. They came out and gave her a $50 ticket.

Now guess who’s the bad guy in all this. She had the audacity to come over and scream at me for calling them. Parents acted like I’d committed some horrid crime.

You’ve got to wonder about the parents?

Anyway, it helped her re-evaluate her parking habits.
