Biography
Robin Hughes was born and raised in the beautiful Sunshine State of Florida. In 2020, she and her husband, Daniel Hughes, moved to Mascotte, Florida, where they are raising their three children. Together, they bring over 16 years of combined experience in law enforcement. Robin holds a degree in Criminal Justice and aspires to further her education by pursuing a degree in Theology.
Robin finds joy in traveling the world with her family, exploring new cultures, attending church, and enjoying peaceful days at home. Her life is rooted in faith, family, and service.
Robin has proudly served as Mascotte City Council Member for Seat 1 for the past two years. During her time in office, she has worked tirelessly to create meaningful change in the community. She worked closely with the parks and Rec department to organize the city’s first Community Career and Resource Fair to help connect residents with employment and support services. Under her leadership, the City of Mascotte now celebrates Black History Month, honoring the richness of its diverse community.

She has also collaborated closely with the Mascotte Police Department to advocate for transparency and build stronger relationships between law enforcement and the community. Robin remains committed to seeking out new opportunities to bring valuable resources to Mascotte—especially for the youth.
Robin is passionate about serving and giving back to the community. Through Lions Den Lawn Care and Services, the lawn care business she and her husband own, she frequently donates services to residents and community initiatives, using their business as a tool to uplift and support the people they serve.
Her goals moving forward include continuing to bridge the gap between government and law enforcement, as well as between law enforcement and the community. She is committed to uplifting small businesses, creating platforms for local entrepreneurs, and empowering youth to thrive through mentorship, education, and leadership development.
Additionally, Robin is focused on ensuring that Mascotte grows in a smart and intentional way. She believes that while growth is inevitable, the city has the power to guide that growth thoughtfully—preserving its values, strengthening its infrastructure, and enhancing quality of life for all residents.
“It is with great honor and humility that I serve as Mascotte City Council Seat 1. I know that with God, all things are possible. I trust that with His guidance, I will be able to touch the hearts of those who live and serve in the beautiful City of Mascotte.”
