I’m a tomboy completely (single dad) but my grandma would wear these really cute dresses and outfits. She always seemed put together and very lady-like, she was the most beautiful woman I ever met. So she tried to teach me how to pair outfits and wear minimal makeup “accentuate not exaggerate” I’ll never get that one right. But I wanted to wear this cute dress I found at the thrift store. Light blue small silver lines around the skirt and shoulders. Just the right fit, made me feel like a girl, I was feeling very good about my choice. Later in the day I’m sitting at a table in my favorite ice-cream shop and an older gentleman approaches me. “Young lady that is the most beautiful color green, and it looks perfect on you.” I say thank you? and he walks away. I’m confused because my dress is blue not green, my eyes are green but he couldn’t have seen that from across the room. When I get home looking at my dress in the mirror I’m trying to see this green. Is there a stain, spot, something I missed. I noticed people had been looking at my dress but I thought it was because it was cute. I sit down on my bed and Holy….!!! With my 4 ft legs you can perfectly see my green lace panties. I freaking cried, total strangers had been able to see because I can’t sit properly in a stupid dress. And dad didn’t help when he said don’t worry about it…I hit him hard in the arm.
