LEARN  WHEN TO SPEAK AND WHEN TO KEEP QUITE; AND WHEN TO SAY “YES” AND WHEN TO SAY “NO”I
f an officer were to ask you to unlock your phone for them, and you reached up, smashed the phone and grinned at the officer, what consequences would you face?

The first consequence would be that you just ruined your expensive phone and you’re going to pay money to replace it. The second consequence would be the cop smiling back at you, or maybe laughing at you for smashing your phone when all he did was ask you to unlock it. All you had to do was say no! Or ask it they had a warrant?
Smashing your phone and grinning at the cop is not the proper way to respond to a request to unlock a phone.
