“Sometimes the tallest animals face the biggest challenges closest to the ground. Such was the case this week for a giraffe who became entangled in a private, non-electrified fence in Rombo area. It didn’t see the fence so low to the ground amidst it’s own shadow, and quickly found itself in a tricky situation.

One of our mobile units responded to the scene with KWS rangers and were able to get the giraffe back on its feet quickly.

That’s all business as usual for our rangers, who respond to wildlife incidents like this one daily. But our rangers can only do their jobs with functioning equipment.”
