Retta and Julian on Wheel of Fortune

Nationwide — Retta Alexander and her grandson, Julian, who are from Moss Point, Mississippi, are celebrating having taken home the jackpot on Wheel of Fortune, the popular TV game show.

After undergoing a rigorous selection process that involved virtual interviews, the grandmother-grandson duo was granted the opportunity to travel to California and compete on the renowned television program.

Wheel of Fortune holds a special place in their hearts as watching it has been a favorite pastime for both of them and playing it has been a dream come true.

“I’ve been watching Wheel of Fortune since I was a little itty-bitty kid. It’s always been my dream to go on Wheel of Fortune,” Alexander told WLOX.

Alexander’s family showed their support by organizing a watch party as they cheered her on throughout the show.

Alexander’s hard work and determination paid off as she skillfully navigated the game, eventually securing a $50,000 jackpot.

“I came home with the prize of knowing I fulfilled one of my lifelong dreams and everything,” Alexander added.
