Living in the Light-

Are Our Lives Living Testimonies?

Then this is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that GOD is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we

say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 5:7)
For many of my brothers and sisters this is a festive and excessively busy season full of holiday shopping, family, and gift giving. And for many others it is also a time to reflect, pray, commune, practice charity, and honor the Christ. The LIGHT.
My sisters and brothers are you living in the LIGHT?
Can you kneel before your ELOHIM and honestly say that you have offered up your life as a living testimony to GOD’s love and light?
Are you willing to pray and repent and have a defensive hedge against the darkness?
Just remember holiday lights and tinsel can not clean your Spirit. External displays of goodness can not buy redemption. Only GOD can do that.
The holiday time can be used as time to hide behind a superficial appearance of walking in the light or it can be a time to meditate, commune with the HOLY SPIRIT and truly open your life to the LIGHT.
I am writing this small and humble article to remind those that seek to be in the light that this season and ALL seasons should be a time to check in with ourselves to see if in fact WE ARE living in the light of GOD-THE MOST HIGH- or if we are allowing the ways of the world to remove us from our source of strength, beauty, peace, joy, and healing?
What are we hiding in the darkness that will inevit-ably seep into the secret spaces of our mind, body, and soul?
Are we reserving our sacred time with our Creator just for a holiday that is featured on our calendars? Or if perhaps, we bury the LIGHT under the piles of wrapping paper, excessive holiday debt, and superficial materialistic living?
It is a beautiful thing to be able to give and to be a blessing to others. Biblica-lly speaking, this should be something we do every day, not just for a holiday. Greater then is it to fellowship with CHRIST, seek and know the LIGHT, and to forever walk away from darkness.
Will you pray with me?
Father. In the name of Jesus Christ, we ask you to deliver us from darkness and let each one of us, your chosen children, to walk with you in the LIGHT.
Let us give thanks for each blessing on each day that opens our lives to your healing power and peace. Let us gift others with the power of your light shining through us so that our lives will be a living testimony to your continuous presence. In a world of darkness, let us be the LIGHT. Amen
